UK recording artist and DJ Justin Harris makes a welcome return to IAHG with his awesome ‘Ascensions’ EP, dropping on September 23rd 2016.
IAHG are proud to welcome back uber-producer and DJ Justin Harris with a killer new four track EP called ‘Ascensions’. Following the success of last years ‘Random Jazz’ EP on IAHG, the ‘Ascensions’ EP features four tracks of Justin’s funky deepness which showcase his unique production chops to full effect.
The title track ‘Ascensions (Bumpin’ Heads With Wes)’ is built around a simple but effective four-chord piano hook, precision-engineered beats, and some twisted vocal samples, and also comes in an instrumental version too. ‘Just Another Loop’ features a sparkling disco sample set to an irresistible house groove, whilst final track ‘Suspensions’ is a slightly deeper, more percussive affair. All four tracks were produced specifically for IAHG and all epitomise the IAHG sound and ethos summed up neatly by Justin as: “Taking no prisoners and making no apologies for hitting hard with deadly accuracy on the dance floor.”
Justin has been a significant player on the scene since the late 80s and his house music credentials are second to none. Label manager at the influential Music For Freaks, one half of the ‘Freaks’ project with Luke Solomon, a prolific and innovative recording artist and superb DJ, his sophisticated productions have graced the likes of Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels, Playhouse, Tsuba International Deejay Gigolo and many others whilst his DJing career has seen him take to the decks in the world’s finest clubs.
DJ support for Justin’s last I’m A House Gangster EP included plays and chart placings from, amongst others, Laurent Garnier, Mark Farina, Demuir and Scott Wozniak and we think this one might do even better.
