El Chino, better known as DJ/producer Ken Fan, joins the I’m A House Gangster camp bringing a fusion of organic sounds to the label, all underpinned by a classic jacking Chicago ethos.

‘I Won’t Fall’ is Ken’s first ever release under the El Chino moniker and he explains the story behind the EP, “I made my trax at home in Ibiza where Sneak used to come round for a quick joint and catch up. A lot of the time I would be working on some beats and he would sometimes give me a couple of tips here and there, then I would give him some of the tests to try out at places like Pacha or Manchester’s Warehouse Project where I would hear the problems which I needed to rectify.”
Born in China and brought up in the UK, it was only after a five year spell in Ibiza for the renowned DJ and producer that the ‘El Chino’ name was truly born, when DJ Sneak gave it to him as a nickname. From his formative years where he became an integral part of the UK scene through residencies for Birmingham based clubs Miss Moneypennys and Chuff Chuff, Ken Fan has gone on to tour the world and share the booth with the world’s A-list DJs.
Heavily influenced by DJ Sneak, he describes the house gangster sound as “bumping, jacking, with large subby bass lines with some hip hop and latin influences”.
